Currently Enrolling Research Trials:
- Phase 1/2 Safety, Pharmacokinetic, Pharmacodynamic Study of Sargramostim (Leukine ®) in Pediatric Patients with Active Crohn's Disease - Study is being conducted to determine if Leukine ® is helpful in easing the symptoms of Crohn's disease in children when given by itself or in combination with corticosteroids. Open enrollment for children 4 to 11 years of age.
- Pathologic Markers of Genetic Damage and Disease in IBD - Study is being conducted to look at the correlation between certain vitamins that may cause DNA damage and possibly result in. Researchers also hope to learn more about biomarkers that may influence the genetic causes of IBD. Open enrollment for children 5 to 18 years of age.
- The Role of Infectious Agents in Pediatric Crohn's Disease - Study is being conducted to determine if viruses or bacterial infections cause Crohn's disease. Enrollment is limited to children aged 5 to 18 who are scheduled for colonoscopies.
- The Natural History of Eosinophilic Esophagitis in Children: A 10-15 year follow-up study - Study is a retrospective review of children seen between 1990 - 1995 whose esophageal biopsies demonstrated Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EOE). This study will allow characterization of disease progression in order to determine the natural history of EOE in children and adolescents.
