This is a local chapter of a national support group for families affected by celiac disease, an immunologic intolerance to wheat. After four years, there are over 150 families in the Georgia ROCK chapter and it is growing all the time. Most of the kids in the ROCK group were diagnosed with celiac disease by the CCDHC physicians. To learn more, send an email to celiacgroup@ccdhc.org

In May 2008, Dr. Lewis and parents in the ROCK group organized a 3 day family camp for over a hundred people at Camp Twin Lakes. The camp, Camp WeeKanEatit!! was a huge success and planning for a celiac camp for summer of 2009 is under way!

Dr. Lewis attends our satellite clinics in Gainesville and Lawrenceville. He is a fellow of The American Academy of Pediatrics and has served on several committees. Dr. Lewis has also served on a number of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Committees and is very active in the community as an advocate for children's health.
